Wedding Invitation Etiquette Wording

By admin

How to word the invitation?

My parents are paying for everything for The Wedding except for alcohol. My fiance’s parents will be paying for the bar. So, Do I word the invitation:

Mr. and Mrs. Bride are pleased to announce the marriage….

or because the grooms parents made a contribution should it be:

Mr. and Mrs. Bride and Mr. and Mrs. Groom……

I’m not sure what is proper etiquette? His parents are contributing, but it’s not like the cost was split in half or anything.

you could say mr. and mrs. bride are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter to mr. and mrs. grooms son….and then go on from there. they are still contributing to the wedding which is wonderful so their name should be in the invitation.
